Yes it's normal! The higher the relationship the more things LinZ will do.
I didn't know that. I have several sims who use that speaker and this is the first time I see this, and she's barely used it. I'll need to check the relationship panels for my other sims.
There is a bug rn (at least I think it's a "bug") that makes sims gain relationships much faster than they used to. At least my sims seem to be making friends left and right. Might be due to that?
Yeah, I noticed that 'introductions' seem to give twice the usual amount of friendship. A cheerful introduction goes all the way to friend. Polite introduction (from Parenthood pack) sends it two or three interactions short of Good Friends.

Another thing: a successful party throws positive sentiments left, right, and center. Most attendees will have a short-term 'impressed' towards the host(s).
