It's so beautiful to witness sweet friendships that blossom between your sims. Sometimes I orchestrate these relationships, but other times some townies stumble into my story and end up becoming true...

They sound like they have a great time together.
Sorry, this is a bit past the date, but I wanted to share these. They are currently my favourite sims to play.

These three best friends live on the island of Mua Pel'am. From left to right: Kio Nightmear, Ikkanu Happati, Samphy Sparke-Undine.
Kio and Samphy first met in Newcrest. As a teen, Samphy ran away from home following a tragic accident caused by her overcharged magical powers, and was living in the grounds of an abandoned factory. Kio, who lived nearby, happened to spot her one night and noticed she looked lonely and sad. Not wanting to scare her (being a vampire, he often unintentionally creeps people out), Kio left her some cupcakes. He did this over a course of several days and was eventually found out by Samphy. To Kio's surprise, Samphy wasn't scared of him. She is in fact 1/3 vampire herself.
The two became friends and, with a bit of encouragement from Kio, Samphy rekindled with her family and started sorting her life out. Unfortunately the two weren't very popular with the locals in Newcrest; Samphy tended to get into fights and Kio still couldn't get anyone to buy his cupcakes. They found an abandoned lighthouse on an island and decided to live there, where they could both practice their passions in peace (Samphy wants to be an expert Spellcaster and Kio wants to be a chef).
After settling in to their remote island home, the two discovered they weren't the only residents. One morning, they heard some magnificent singing coming from further down the beach. They followed the singing and came to a shipwreck surrounded by a lush tropical garden. Luscious fruit trees grew all around and sat singing to one of these was a merman named Ikkanu. The merman's initial reaction to being spotted was to squeal and run behind a tree. Kio and Samphy continued to visit him though and leave him the occasional food gift. After several visits, Ikkanu finally worked up the courage to walk up to the lighthouse and thank them. It turned out the merman had grown up alone on this island; he was raised by the ancient spirits that resided there.

Having been excluded from his local pod of merfolk, Ikkanu was slow to trust the newcomers to his island, but the group eventually bonded. Now they frequently go out exploring together (a first for the timid merman), go to local island events together and get in more than a few scrapes and mishaps, usually courtesy of Samphy and her adventurous nature.
