I just tweeted them on Twitter about it, so hopefully they'll see it and make a response.

The blog says the "changed moodlets" but didn't say anything about adding any to new situations.

Im a bit disappointed that sims don't get scared with occults... it was such a great opportunity to make human-occults interactions more interesting...

As soon as I switched the game on, my current sim went into Scared mode because of a Thunderstorm. So did all of the townie Sims hanging around - everyone started running and waving their arms (like they do when fleeing a fire). It was pretty funny

I didn't deliberately set out to see what made my sims scared, but I got a couple of days of all-day thunderstorms in my game so it happened anyway! In a 4-sim household (2 married YAs and their kids: a child and a toddler), one of the mothers got scared with the kid rather than tense when the storm rolled in. Mum #2 has the stormchaser trait, so was confident throughout, no fear. Their toddler, however, was puzzlingly still made sad by the storm rather than scared.

Sounds like they focused on base game scariness, maybe they will add for misc packs later?

I liked the tense moodlet, I really hope it will not be completely replaced by the scared. Loners surrounded by other sims should still get tense and not scared, at least not unless there is a reason to fear stuff - like if another sim is evil or mean etc, or other negative impacts. I think scared should be more like worrying over your own safety, being tense is quite different...

I'll wait a few days until I patch my game. Anyway, sounds like there will be a few cool new situations with the Scared emotion :)

It seems no new scared situations were added.only some tense moodlets were replaced which is to be expected I think. The first step is getting it added. I think next they can customize more interactions and situations for fear.
This game was never designed to have fear so some things might seem a bit off naturally.

Maybe they are not sure how it would work for human occult friends and family? My families are all mixed with occults and humans. I wouldn't want them scared of eachother all day. I think they would have to find a way to distinguish stranger occults from friends.
