Share your Tartosa stories/builds

:p I just bought it this week.
I'm still figuring out what I will be doing with it.
Most certainly an elope/honeymoon world using the wedding chapel rabbit hole and a rental property.

Also a future goal for sims wanting a nice home in a beautiful world.
If we ever get resort hotels, I will certainly place one there. A casino would also be nice.

I was going to play a Finding Love After a Breakup scenario there, but I wanted them to have a dog and for each of them to have parents (living elvewhere). I couldn't figure out how to do all that in the scenario since you can't start that scenario with an existing household and when you set up a new household it won't ever let you have more than 2 sims in CAS even if one of them is a dog or if you're planning to move four of them to their own households immediately.

I did start a new game with the sims I wanted, but it isn't officially a scenario game and I'll probably wait to play it till I'm done with my Farm challenge.

Could you create the sim you want, start the scenario, and then take them back into CAS to add the parents? If it doesn't let you do it during the scenario, it might at least let you do it after the scenario is finished, if they are sims you are attached to and want to keep playing.

I've had to do some convoluted things like that to make basically all of the scenarios work. One of the worst things about the scenarios in general is that the starting criteria usually have some pretty major flaws.

I had Greta run away after she was rejected by her family for being turned a werewolf, against her will, and I had neighborhood stories on and noticed there were only two members left almost immediately after. Right after her mother fell pregnant her husband died because of a cowplant and soon after her mother in law died of old age which had happened quickly because the urns were still wherever they had fallen so I could move them. She only had her werewolf coach to turn to so he took her in and she'll most likely be their fourth child, as she had been feeling out casted when he wasn't there in spite of her not wanting him anywhere near her. Better to be accepted somewhere than shunned until you're alone I suppose.

I have my main family living there in my Farming-save.

Currently I am building a retail store with wedding cakes, had no idea that I would enjoy that feature that much. Have modded the cakes so that I can use them as birthday cakes for teens and up.

Every visit I make there turns out disaster so I just escaped to Forgotten Hollow and never went there again :lol:

recently made beach cafe in attempt to use Tartosa but it doesn't function really so unsure if I'm keeping it either

not sure if it was that there was multiple famous sims around making my life miserable
or maybe cafe lot type is just pain in the bottom so I could try changing that

or maybe that there was again thunderstorm in freaking Tartosa and i had to try change weather like 10 times before i succeeded *dramatic sighs*

I just don't think me and Tartosa are fated to be you know

also still planning to add mansion with ballroom n tea sipping for Villa Vigna lot
but I'm kinda stuck with building same type of mansion exterior every dang time
so I'm waiting for different ideas :sweat_smile:

don't want to build same mansion in every world you know :sweat_smile:
the small island lot is either gonna be habited by a lothario style sim in connection to that mansion scheme
or maybe I will build outdoor wedding venue there if the weather is ever any better than thunderstorms :lol:

will eventually build the other family new house I think too

the lot up from waterfall is probably gonna have some mermaids one day

right side of map no idea probably at least one more residential is needed
maybe if we ever get nectar making thingies I'll do it on lot next to the smaller family hmm

but... what shall that one lot be? indoors wedding venue? might as well.

I have my ongoing story Under The Tartosan Sun that follows the lives and romantic adventures of three women: Danielle Chabert a romance novelist who moved to Tartosa to find her muse in the romantic atmosphere of the island. The story also follows her childhood best friends Summer Holiday and Liberty Lee who also live in Tartosa. The ladies had a major falling out with Travis after he took advantage of Liberty and her friendship with Summer, while playing games with Summer's heart. Summer moved to Tartosa after the fallout from Travis and through no small effort on Danielle's part to sway Summer into trying her hand as a caterer in the wedding business. Liberty followed them later on after not only a career change but on one memorable to trip to see her friends she found Matteo, the love of her life there as well. Danielle found the love of her life, her soon to be wife Londyn who recently proposed to her. Only Summer remains single after her brief romance with a local party boy Leonardo, which ended amicably before Summer got her heart broken again. Summer is also weighing her options career-wise and she's considering opening a B&B or even a little romantic restaurant in Tartosa.

That's where the story stands, and I'm about to head back into the game to shoot the proposal scene and a couple others that lead up to it.
