NO! Do NOT buy this expansion pack yet! It will literally break your game... I don't know how many others tolerate the many bugs that basically make the game unplayable and impossible to fully enjoy, but that's all on them... if you're the kind of person who absolutely cannot stand a broken game, then 'Seasons' will NOT be satisfactory! This expansion pack has been released for about three months now... and many major bugs are still being ignored by the developers. Sadly, the idea of fixing these bugs is being pushed to the side for the sake of "fun new content" that they have planned for October... instead of actually working on the issues this game already has.
Ultimately, it's your choice to buy the pack... but it'll also end up breaking your game in the end.
Note: I'm not saying the content or features in this pack are terrible. In fact, 'Seasons' is my favorite Sims 4 expansion pack so far... but the bugs make it impossible to enjoy. Therefore, I've decided to not even touch Sims 4 until the bugs are fixed... IF that ever happens.
My advice would be to buy and install this game at your own risk (if you choose to do so).
What bugs are you experiencing from Seasons? Just asking because the only one I can recall as being from Seasons is the leaf pile thing, but I don't remember which bugs started when, at this point.
One very annoying bug is the one that causes Sims to automatically come home from work/school during a holiday if you have another Sim travel to a different lot. This completely destroys the purpose of having an option to choose whether or not Sims have the day off on a holiday.
Another one is the bug that causes Sims to teleport all over the place when performing specific tasks (usually doing the dishes). The Sims will just randomly teleport around and drop everything. The pile of dishes will often end up being placed somewhere in the room.
There's also a bug that causes Sims to autonomously stand up and hug each other every time you wanna start a conversation while sitting down... this never happened before 'Seasons' (at least not in my game). It gets very annoying when you simply want your Sims to have a meal together, while chatting... but they need to keep getting up to hug each other.
The bug that causes pets to be extra needy still hasn't been completely fixed either... I still experience my Sims' queues being flooded with pet interactions (mostly hugging and kissing). My Sims will often just stop what they're doing just to pet/hug/kiss their cat or dog. This is highly annoying, especially during meals.
Another really annoying bug is one that causes Sims to randomly stop what they're doing and just sit/stand in the same position (without doing anything). Time will still progress, but the Sims will literally be frozen for awhile. Sometimes using 'resetSim' will work, but not always. I often need to leave the game and go back on.
Also, while not necessarily damaging to gameplay itself, the bug that causes Sims to have completely random accessories when they wear a towel or robe (especially at the spa) can become easily annoying. Especially when you're trying to tell a story with your game. For example, one of my Sims wears a beekeeping hat whenever she dresses in a robe or towel... and it looks ridiculous. And it can't be changed because that outfit technically doesn't exist (since it's not a category). So, every time she goes into the sauna or gets a massage (or whatever else), she's wearing a beekeeping hat (which, again, looks ridiculous).
These are the major bugs I've been experiencing in my game... and I've seen quite a lot of other people experiencing the same things. As far as I'm concerned, I don't recall any of them happening before 'Seasons'. Even if they did, that just makes it even more sad... because that would mean the developers have been ignoring them for even longer than the past three months.
