Should I Just Let It Go?

My two pennies:



Options 1 and 2 are what I would do. Both of them... purchase the rewards, all 3 of them have earned them already :) And then play the UNI, hopefully while you still play uni, the NPC issue is fixed.


Option 3 ... naah, you have done that so many times, give yourself a break :p

Option 4 ... one option, some fresh new save , challenge or something.. or you have that ancestral save too.

Option 5 , Out of the question. Nope. No. Pretty clear these are the sims you enjoy playing the most with. So... no.

Option 6 , I would do this one too, anyway :D

Play on like the bug never happened as best you can... Waiting for an actual fix = Waiting for Godot.

If I understand you correctly, I think I already am doing that. Every gaming session is a Save As, and I name it accordingly. Cantrell-#, so I can rollback should I need to do so. Or just do a recover save. This is what I am working off of, currently. It's the last full back up copy I made just prior to the Patch dropping. So, it's a tad behind where I was when my laptop bit the Big One. What I can't adapt to, is the fact that Get Famous is broken, as well as other public venues, I suppose. No Accolades Show = No awards handed out. Face/palm. Erik has already capped out on his income; he's at 9.999.999 Simoleons. It matters not, if he does a concert or produces another album. I decided to have him just replace what's broken --- unless someone in his household needs to gain in handy skill.

If Erik has earned his accolade, no bug should keep him from receiving it. Go on and purchase the award the moment he gets nominated. (Too bad you won't get a screenshot of him accepting it, though :( )

Alternately, if you want to include some chance, you could roll a die, add +1 per famous sim Erik knows and if he gets a result of six or higher, he receives the award.

Even though this save seems like your favorite, you should play it safe and play another save that wouldn't matter if all goes awry. You can't risk undoing your progress for the millionth time because of the game. Take a break, and then come back if/when it feels safe to do so.

Or you could do an alternate save if you can't fathom playing without Erik. A save that still wouldn't matter what happens. Maybe a chaos save where anything (within the realm of your comfort) goes?

I like your thinking on this. He's never not won.

I am currently playing this save. The only difference is, I will no longer send them down to the PBP Studios Lounge for an Event that isn't going to happen. In fact, some things occurred in my game that prompted me to write them up. The chapter isn't quite completed, but I'm having to put the screenshots on a flash drive to transfer them to my now backup laptop, since that one has Paint. Paint 3D is driving me nuts. Plus, I do the writing over on the other device, since I have Word Perfect installed on that one. Your advice is sage. I may just make a backup of this save again, to be on the safe side.

Yeah, I'd just buy them if nominated honestly if the Accolades aren't working. It's not cheating if it's to fix a bug/glitch, after all. Mine is a little quirky, as always, but working - however, I do not have For Rent yet.

@Lenny_Ogg I just made a complete backup of my Sims 4 gaming folder, again. All is safe, for now. Thanks again for reiterating your suggestion. :)
