Should Sims 4 have an opening video intro?

I miss the little videos from sims 2 when an important event occurred we'd get a little video. So sweet.

Is it important at this stage of the game's life cycle? You might watch an intro video once or twice but after a day or two you're skipping past it to get into the game.

The only reason I say no is because I could see myself getting annoyed with it very quickly. If one were to get added, I’d want a skip button or the option to turn it off so I don’t have to sit through it every time.

I'm sorry but after 3 1/2 years of playing I'm a little tired of watching the green plumbob spin. They also need to update the tips that display while the game is loading. I know them by heart.

It was super cool in sims 2 and 3 but I skip them EVERY time I load them up now, waste of time imo.

I hate how trailers always show you stuff that you can't actually do in the game, and an opening video for this game wouldn't be any different. After watching it once or twice, everyone would skip anyway. I'd rather they focused their time and energy on something worthwhile, like... anything on the long list of things simmers have been requesting since day one. Or making the impossible things they would show in that video if they decided to make one actually possible.
