Should The Sims be aimed at an older audience?

What where is the game water down? Also that doesn't mean anything if they want a 12 year old to play the game in today standards you can let kids play any game that the parents want them to play including mature games . So saying you don't want a 12 year old playing The Sims 4 is not very realistic. So no the game isn't childish per say it just depends on who you let play the game its fun for everyone in a sense because it really isn't that a terribly violent game.
