Should "Worlds" be closed off?

I do love the ability to go from place to place - I imagine they're like neighboring cities or (in the US, may we rest in peace), east coast states that are only hours away via drive.
I like to think that Brindleton Bay is not far from Evergreen Harbor, Willow Creek is close to Newcrest and Magnolia Promenade, Glimmerbrook to Forgotten Hollow, Del Sol Valley and Oasis Springs, Windenburg to Britechester. There are some places that I feel like could also fit in there like Newcrest may be close-ish to San Myshuno, and Strangerville might be close to Oasis Springs, but they're further away from the other "cities."
The only place that feels like it should be out of my reach by "car" or bike or taxi or how ever Sims get around, is Sulani and the vacation worlds. So I would love to toggle the ability to travel to Sulani. It would be cool to have the option to live in Sulani, and have Sims from other worlds travel there as a vacation. Same with the vacation worlds, because why not ;)
