Sim always likes to eat by the pool

My sims have done that when some other sim is near, or even IN, the pool. Doesn't matter if the pool is near the kitchen or not. They've done it with books/homework and drinks, as well. Not found a way to stop it, unfortunately.

lol figures. The only person that was near was her toddler. He got stuck waiting for her in the high chair. I would like her to eat next to him so they would chatter back and fourth and get their social needs met and form more of a bond at this time.. but she would prefer to eat by the pool in her swim suit.. ::sigh::

I usually tell them where to sit after they get the food from the fridge. But i play with few sims so it's kind of doable...

She likes to fight me on that lol. I have done that quite a bit but she will get up and attempt to go to the pool to eat regardless what i tell her to do. She will go sit on the table chair but then get up and change in to her suit and sit by the pool. I then have to tell her to stop eating by the pool and then tell her to eat again and tell her to sit at the table.. to which then she just ends up eating at the table next to her kid in her swim suit tho she seems not too thrilled about it lmao.. I have autonomy off rn too she still tends to go out of her way to eat in other places other than what I want her to.. At her store I made a little dorm like area where I have her and her son stay while she works the week.. as soon as i put a table and chair in the stores bakery area she will go outside the dorm to eat at the table and chairs EVEN THOUGH i told her to sit at the bench in the dorm to eat. She insists on eating out in the store area with the customers around (which is also kinda weird to me). I have to get her to sit in the dorm to eat and lock the doors to get her to stay put until she is finished..

she is quite stubborn lmao.

My sims also started doing that. I have two sims in my household and both of them go to the pool as soon as I tell them to eat. I've tried to make them go eat and follow with sitting, but they go to the pool in between those tasks.
I don't know if it has any relation, but I've used cc in this house, so maybe it's a bug? (or even a bug on the latest game update)
I just know that getting really annoying. :( They even go to the pool when it's raining and then get upset that they're wet lol

That does seem like a bug. I only have one sim with a pool right now, but also had another residential ( it was a 3 apartment complex that had a pool ). And I never had that problem. And, she is a sim with a loves outdoors too. I haven’t played her in awhile though as I play rotationally. But in the past she would usually eat at the table unless I instructed her to eat and watch tv. But like Sindocat mentioned if you have parenthood and set the table that should work. I do know when I was playing the pleasants they would always sit at the table when I wanted them to watch tv and eat. They would sit at the table, then get up and take their plate to the tv. That was kind of annoying.

i have the same problem! i am trying this new mod that makes your sim prefer to eat at tables.

I grew up having a pool in our backyard. My parents had some strict rules, however. We had to use the toilet before we got into the pool and we could NOT eat IN the pool. I do know our Sims are a little slow in this circumstance. Some prefer to sit on the edge (coping) with their feet dangling in the water in the winter to study. It's vexing to be sure and I've had to rescue more than a few prior to their freezing to death.

Have you tried placing tables out by the poolside? If you have Parenthood, have a Sim 'set the table'. Generally, this will make the Sims eat there. If that doesn't work, (and to be honest I've not tried it myself), then maybe another player will come along with something that does work.

Mine still seem to like standing by the fridge to eat which is annoying as it blocks access to the fridge for other sims.
