Sim always tense - Fun mood not going up?

Do you have some sort of aura object near by that could be causing this. I don't know what the lamps do but maybe one gives off tense.

Ok so the reset sim didn't work... however I thought I would try travelling to another lot to see if this helped and magically his fun bar is now full!!! So yes... small bug it looks like. Thanks for the help guys.

That has happened to me before. All you need to do is reload the game and that should fix it.

If your Sim is tense, nothing you do will increase their fun until you get rid of the tension. Hover over their whims to see what they want -- a bath, a pep talk, etc. -- or select interactions that have yellow tabs on them. Once the tension is resolved, you can engage in a fun activity and have fun increase.

I just want to add that I've had the same problem, and I think some people are misunderstanding it. The fun bar still goes up when you are having fun, but it stays yellow or red. If it's only in the yellow zone, it's nothing but a cosmetic problem. But if your Sim's fun bar is down far enough to get the tense moodlet, raising fun doesn't get rid of the tense moodlet like it should. Reloading the game or traveling seems to solve this problem.

If anyone is having the issue with the fun being completely full but it's just yellow, no tense moodlet I just traveled somewhere else and it sorted it

Fun for the dastardly trait is different. He needs to do mean or mischievous actions like pull pranks, sabotage or make prank calls. I think they can send chain letters and do other mean things on the computer like also read obituaries for fun. I do not remember all the interactions but I do remember that the normal fun things do not work.

Also, I suggest traveling with him. Traveling seems to resent everything. The reset Sim cheat does very little. It helps with somethings but not all. Also, while traveling he can meet townies to do mean things to and fight with.

Its 2020 and this is still a bug they never fixed i just spent little over 3 hours trying to figure out why the fun bar wasnt going up no matter what i did and turns out all i had to do was restart the game

Hey! I know i’m sort of late but I do know one of the main causes for this bug. I recently aquired the Get Famous pack and for those of you who also have it know that will a certain perk your sim will be sent potions! My game never did this until my sim drank the fun news potion, not only did it give a negative moodlet bc of it “wearing off” but my sims fun need glitched, his fun need was full yet it was still red and he kept getting the tense moodlet. It the fix is teleporting to a different lot, or just saving and exiting and going back into the game. No need to quit without saving
