Sim Can't Use Stove

So it appears to just be a random thing? Okay, well at least I know I'm not the only one having this issue. Maybe a future patch will be able to fix things. As of this morning it was just one house. Hopefully it won't spread. lol But I also don't want to stop playing said house or have to move them, because they don't have money for a new home. :o

Sometimes when this occurs, it can help to have your sims travel to another lot, then back home again, then test to see if the issue is then fixed.

I had this issue recently with the stove from the Jungle Adventure pack, I believe. I had to put in a different stove.

I'm not using the Jungle Adventure stove, I think I'm using the one from Cool Kitchen. But I will try swapping it out and buying a different one. Because I just purchased that same stove when I was trying to fix the issue.

It is quite odd, because I did not have stove issues in forever. In the past it used to be the issue that there was unfinished meal blocking the stove, but removing the old stove and buying a new one would have eliminated that issue. Hope you'll figure it out.

This has been happening in my game lately too, but it's not just the stove. Sometimes it's the toilet, shower, television, computer, a chair, etc. Suddenly for no reason at all, my Sim will wave their hand, shrug and cancel the action even though they previously had no problems using said item beforehand. With the computer, if I tell them to sit in the chair and then use it, they will. And with the other things, sometimes all I have to do is tell them to 'go here' right in front of the object and then click to use it.

It's very random as to the object and how often it happens. Some days, they use everything just fine, other days they seemingly have a problem with multiple objects. It's very odd. One thing I have noticed though is distance away from the object you want them to use seems to be a factor, but not always. Sometimes they can be standing right in front of it and can't use it. I have a feeling something with the routing perhaps got messed up in a patch. Just a thought... *shrugs*

Update: When she tried to make Italian meatballs, she couldn't, but she made the low carb cake, and that was baked with no problem.

I had a weird similar issue recently, in my case they could cook but not eat, turns out it was the cc porch swing (only cc couch) I had installed, I removed it and now it’s fine. Go figure!!
Then at some point my sims couldn’t use the toilet, I found out it was the cc trashcan I had put too close to it with the moveobjects cheat.
Also sometimes it happens for no reason at all.
