Sim had baby while inactive

I had a female Sim get pregnant and I switched over to another household and when I returned the female Sim had given birth. I have auto-aging turned off and only aging is allowed in the active household. Has this happened to anybody else or is there some way to stop this from happening?

Yeah, it really messes with rotational gameplay, plus then you have to deal with changing the computer-generated names. Plummy, yes.

Kinda funny but I never actually wrote the word plum. The word I did write changed automatically when I posted the comment. Weird.

Right. It's the forum's way of censoring bad words... so I've simply adopted it as my own "bad word". Life can be really plummy, you know. And if life gives you plums...well, I don't know what you can make from them. :)

Hmm, the word I wrote didn't seem very bad at all.
  • Myself I can't seem to knock up sims that are computer controlled, or they don't show like other sims. One of the town sims comes over every day and we try for baby but nothing seems to happen. His wife don't seem to care that this happens I guess she is quiet
  • somebody made a mod to freeze inactive pregnancies.

Not even (really) bad words ... already the kind of sexuality where a girl (or boy) loves girls but also boys turns into plum ... making it difficulty to discuss The Sims sexuality, where this happens all the time

Same here ... if I wouldn´t occasionally inject new Sims into aging families, I guess that most lots would meanwhile have died out (actually some have ... with the last remnants being a ghost on these lots :D )
  • The MC Command mod will let you set up a notification so that you get a pop up when a played household goes into labor, so you can switch to it. I play rotationally so this is great for my playstyle.
  • Have not only had a sim give birth while inactive, but she got pregnant while inactive. Have read in the forums that can't happen, but it did. Not been in that game save since the discovery.
