Sim kids and future relationships
OK so I've been wondering about this. It's something that I do all the time and I want to know if I'm in the minority or not. So are you the type of player that plans out who their kid is going to end...

Because it makes them feel more like they're a *ahem* "real sim," as opposed to one just created out of nowhere.
I also have issues with the lack of a built-in ability to adopt a particular sim (in particular, the alien child of a sim's husband.) Sure, I could modify them in CAS to be the parent.. but that somehow seems *different.* Nevermind that the sims adoption system makes adopted children have exactly the same status as by-woohoo children, so that there's no real difference between making that change in CAS as opposed to having adopted a child through the computer interaction. It's not logical, but it's part of the story. And creating a story seems to me like a central purpose of the game; otherwise it would just be a virtual world without other real people.
But they’re not “created out of nowhere”, I like to think they’re moving in from sunset valley or somewhere from past games :D
