Um...I'm so confused. I'm playing a new sim and she has a boyfriend and they've only kissed. They did kiss in the water but didn't think that would do anything? Now all of the sudden I saw she was a little big and then one of her mood lets was eating for two? I'm so confused seeing as they never ever tried for a baby? But they did have a talk about expanding the family. Did that do it?I mean, I did want them to have a baby but not yet because I wanted her to finish this aspiration of her life first before they started a family. So now I feel like I have to restart the game now since I just saved too. I'm just so confused.

Neighborhood Stories are a set of gameplay moments that all revolve around a single purpose: bring more life to Neighbor Sims that live outside the active household. I assumed the two Sims were living in different households and only one sim was active at the time of the discussion.

But yes, the main purpose for the interaction is to encourage friends to have children.

Though as I see from this post, telling the significant other that gives them signal that "Hey! Cheat on me and get pregnant/impregnate someone!".
Well, that does mean more drama though...

Though now I'm wondering who's the father of the baby. Please keep us updated.

I thought there would be shown a popup in this case before the Sims get's pregnant. This is why I was worried about the feature without having the option to deactivate it. Nothing against story progression but I don't need it in my game.

The same thing happened to me as well. It really startled me too. However, this happened a few days ago before the "Neighborhood Stories" patch arrived. @wylmite1986, did this happen before the new patch came out?

Definitely the update. if you encourage Sims positively to expanding their family they might get pregnant. But why do you have to start the game over? can't you just age the baby up and delete the toddler in CAS if you don't want it?
