Sim won’t cook chili

When I select my sim to cook chili, they take the ingredients out of the fridge, then wave their hand and place the ingredients on another surface, like the dining room table instead of the kitchen counter. I have all the ingredients needed to cook the chili. They cooked a few other meals just fine and prepped them on the kitchen counters. I even tried replacing the stove and counters. Any idea what’s up with this meal in particular? I’ll test tomorrow if there are any others they won’t cook, but for today, it was the chili.
