this is probably an unpopular opinion, but i really don't want cars.
Same. What's the point? Unless my Sims can get in and for real drive across town, I'd rather they focus their creative energy on beneficial gameplay.
Ok so no more new CAS items or build mode mimics of already existing items for you then.
Besides, if they don't just make them to appear before you travel for immersion, they can actually add gameplay to them. Tuning cars, customizing, adding upgrades, new wohoo spots, teaching teens to drive, restoring a fixer-upper, garage doors ( not just useful for cars btw ), careers like auto mechanic or professional racer. As far as animation goes, I'd love some TS2 style full on animated interactions. Pizza delivery animations were awesome.
In case @SimGuruKimmi sees this, I'd personally like to have some of the gameplay I mentioned above. As for how cars would work, that's a tough one to answer. Obviously places like the Bluffs or the Windenburg island aren't accessible that way which is why I'd prefer a "vehicles" pack that also includes stuff like boats, bicycles, etc. But then again I feel like taking away boats as a feature from a future pack where they might fit more would be kinda lame. ( Something similar to Island Paradise for TS3 is what I mean by that ) So focusing on ground transportation first might be the way to go.
Also, adding driveways and parking lots to the worlds shouldn't be that hard visually speaking as most worlds already have roads, but technically speaking I'm not so sure about it as it has been mentioned before that adding new things like routable water to existing worlds would be a huge undertaking.
