Sims 3 to Sims 4
Should I move my Sims 3 family (Carson, Madison, Matthew, Cassidy, and Parker) to Sims 4 and play as Matthew after he becomes a young adult? (Sims 4 version of Cassidy Lowell is my newest Avi.)

up to you, but i'd say yes. i recreated my ts3 sims in ts4. it's interesting to see them with an upgraded look and in new surroundings and scenarios.
