Maxis forgot to add The Sims Spark'd Elimination for the Geek sims who play to The Sims Forever.
Competition but no reward ?

Considering how Spark'd went down, perhaps it's for the best that we can't recreate it.

I mean... the whole Getaway system is great, I'll have fun playing with it. But it really feels like the other half of Businesses & No Hobbies. Also, we can make bakeries with Get to Work, this pack, B&H, and lowkey Home Chef Hustle. (And Dine Out restaurants can be made like one, though that's more of a stretch.) All with slight variations and improvements to how it's run, but overall the same concept. It really highlights how packs have been retreading and reheating old stuff.
Disappointed that the Imaginary Friends don't get anything special once they become human, like some residual magic or ability or an optional doll form. And they can't pass unique traits to their kids. Yeah, "Ohhh they get to be normal and real now!!" But let us have some fun with them too. You can still live a normal life while having cool ability you can choose to use whenever you want. Sims 3 already did this with their IFs.
"I bet I can win 3 Archery contest!" They had a grammatical error in the trailer. Which is like whatever, no big deal. It just bugs me. And also how the game will insist on capitalizing skills no matter the context, so you get awkward-looking sentences where you get Archery contest, instead of "Archery Contest" (like it's a formal name for the contest) or "archery contest." (Informal.) A lot of games do that, no shade to the developers or anything for this one. They just want to make things more clear. It's just a side tangent I have about Sims 4 and games in general. I know it's not an issue anyone but me has though, lol.

I do have a general concern about packs both sides: that they were meant to work with another or others but split up, or not meant to work with certain packs, and they jumble—barely or do not—work together.
Sometimes I see missed opportunities with cross pack compatibility possibilities, and I find is so disappointing and only hope for updates/patches to change/fix/addressed.
But if you believe that AA and B&H are two halves inflated with extra materials to be make two separate packs—hopefully they can come as a bundle pack at slight discount in the future (and maybe offer the LE items again in good faith). Otherwise, I might wait for both these packs to be at about 50% off before purchase, at least then I'd feel I have the intended impact of these two packs at about the same price/two for one type deal.

This pack has the same design as Get Together and Businesses & Hobbies, they add new features (Club and Small Business) but the activities are mainly 2014 basegame activities.
It's new but with the feelings of doing the same old activities that we know for 11 years.
So the next step should be to add a little more new activities designed for Club , Small Business and Getaway because the old ones aren't designed for group or being NPC autonomous tasks (For example Play Cards)

i hate to admit but i actually agree, doing activities is already in lots of packs, especially Expansion Packs
they could've merged it or something but add new activities or something (i meant activities that comes with newer packs)

This was obviously all the content they have saved for either refreshes (which they back tracked on) or other small kits. They probably knew they had to do something since Sims 5 is shelved and the backlash of people pretty much telling EA... Can we please move on from this ancient/dated game? lol So they took all they had and dumped it into another expansion... tell everyone they are gonna spend way more time on a break to work on bugs and stuff... and boooooom... You will see more Sims 4 DLC where the fans will just keep eating slop lol ======= Honestly Sims 4 was over 2 years ago. We should be mid Sims 5 right now. EA has officially destroyed Sims franchise and I am actually devastated. EA really does not care for Sims and is using it to only generate funds for their rich higher ups or other games they like more.... Yall need to really stop buying Sims anything for like a year....

This EP feels weird, about half a year after businesses and hobbies. Both offer community lots with set activities. Not exactly the same but similar enough. One can be owned while the other has a time schedule. Also this pack offers more hobbies than the pack with hobbies (plural!) in the title? We get archery, bug collection, paper crafts, more fitness options, diving boards, kayaks,... Where the hobbies pack only offered one (!) hobby: pottery
This feels like leftovers and scrapped ideas bundled under a getaway flag. I think the features look actually decent but a lot of them feel like they belong in an existing pack. Playgrounds would have been perfect for growing together, bugs are a variation on outdoor retreat insects, love island screams love struck and the blender was part of a vote for a stuff pack. It's nice to get them all but combining kids gameplay with fitness and love island feels like a random collection of themes.
And then there is the big absence of the word 'hotel' . A bed and breakfast is shown and it is close enough to play pretend to stay in a hotel. But why not actual hotels in this pack? At this point I can only conclude EA will ask another 40€ (or more with inflation) when we finally get hotels.

I think it's because the sims team engineers have chosen to build future packs iteratively. If that makes sense. They are not building one pack for one large concept. They are trying to build different features that can support different options in The Sims 4. And these different features (probably because of budget) are being built upon in multiple packs.
With Business&Hobbies the game supported custom businesses, with Adventure Awaits, the game will support custom venues and roles. The next step could be to see if they could work that into a "hotel" model.
I still want them to work on a sims5, but I will admit that it is a bit interesting that it looks like the sims team are focusing a bit more on depth now. But that seems to leave them little budget sometimes when it comes to other things though like you mentioned, what's the difference between catching butterflies and catching insects in outdoor retreat? (which have butterflies).

I guess this is more of a wishful hope for how we can set up activities. I really want to have my sims be able to go on a ride together, or get on a horse and practice barrels or jumps together, like they're in a riding class and taking turns. I mean, going on trail rides with friends is one huge reason people ride horses. It was close with B&H, except the sims don't get on the horses. I'm hoping I'll be able to set something like this up in this pack???? Please?????
