Was excited to see imaginary friends introduced but just wondered, are they all only going to be creatable from the same doll toy? Because that is not how children's imaginations work in real life.
For starters, children can create imaginary friends out of their imaginations alone, a toy is not required (at least, I could as a child. Does anyone else do this or am I just odd?) Each imaginary friend is completely unique and different depending on the child. The possibilities are endless. (For a good example, see the film 'IF').
I would really hope there are customisation options with imaginary friends, or at least allow Sims to create them from different toys. I also think imaginary friends should be creatable for all sim ages (this would tie in nicely with the erratic sim option of talking to imaginary friends!)
Am disappointed that this concept is just included as a bit of extra in another pack because it could be expanded and explored creatively a lot more.
Have just seen that the pack introduces schedules, which will not work for me at all. I like to choose when my Sims do things.
Regarding Getaways, it is actually possible to turn any communal lot into a place to stay if you put a bed there. (In fact one could have quite a lot of fun with that... Museum or cemetery sleepovers anyone?)
I was also astonished to see a Love Island inspired getaway option in the pack as I didn't know this show aired outside the UK. Um, I'm not a fan of the show personally and unless that particular gameplay included chances to scare/haunt or prank people (preferably with large quantities of slime, stink bombs, maggots or other kinds of insects or drawing on people), I'm afraid I won't be buying. Same goes for the summer camp. I want my children's imaginary friends to wreck havoc! 😈

Is there archery in Outdoor Retreat? If so, I have that pack and I never knew that! I will have to look into this.

There is no archery in Outdoor Retreat. There is the horseshoe toss game.

LuckySimmer10 no, outdoor retreat does not have archery. It’s a feature in the new expansion pack that is coming out.

I only have myself to blame because I hyped myself up where I should have kept my expectations low but: still no real hotels. You can"t assign rooms to a sim or a group of sims, no check in or check out.
However, the foundations for a functional hotel pack are THERE, combining the "room role" feature from B&H (instead of setting "private" and "public"', you could assign different hotel rooms, private parts, public parts, kitchen...) and the "sim role" from AA where each role has a set array of tasks and activities..

Kayaking is included but it doesn't seem to be a challenging activity for Adventurous sims.

If you want to run a hotel, I think it should be pretty easily done with a combination of the roommate function and B&H business. Hire a maid and a butler and you're set. Your sim can work as the manager/concierge, and you run the kitchen/restaurant, laundry service, pool, spa, and gym as a business paid by the hour.

While I'm feeling mostly positive about the pack, one thing that bothered me on both the Livestream and Dr. Gluon's early access video is early elimination. I hope we can set it so Sims are not eliminated on the first day of a competition. I hope we can schedule when eliminations happen.

Competitive Spirit is basically what Ambitious should have been : /
Old traits so need an upgrade.
