Hmm... Good question...
My guess is simple: it's just another panel in the Simology panel (like the Fame Perks).

I wonder if a sim can be reborn more than once. It would be cool to play one sim through several lifetimes.
- EgonVM10 months agoSeasoned Ace
I'd guess that'd definitely be possible...
But let's see if some source says otherwise then...

"and may also find special ties to sims from their past life."
Since I plan to have one of my Sims be reborn as a young adult and return to his family, I wonder what "special ties" means. I assumed the Sim in question would simply keep his relationships as they were when he went for the rebirth.

Second week recap! A little late again, but... yeah...
Last week recap is here! Remember that on October 17th there will be a new Gameplay Trailer. Oh how long will the next recap be then...
Not a lot this week, but there are some news:
- The lead producer of this pack is SimGuruMorgan. Last time she was the lead producer was on the Werewolves game pack.
- Mermaids are finally getting their own unique gravestone with the pre-pack patch. Check it out here!
- Speaking of mermaid gravestones, the ability to swap existing gravestones to these also comes through a pre-pack patch. It might also allow having urns outdoors.
- Nervous Subject is back with a new name (before he became a test subject).
- Nervous Subject might have the new Chased by Death trait.
- A lot of gravestone options, many of them shown in the trailer and screenshots.
- No Zodiac signs this time.
- No special Mermaid bassinets this time.
To end this post, here's the teaser trailer:

And... there's the next week recap.
The Gameplay Trailer comes this week! Exciting!

The gameplay trailer is out! For those interested, see here for the previous week's recap.
Ok! Life and Death gameplay trailer!
- A new notebook to make a Bucket List (and which can be turned into a Heirloom). You can do the following:
- Write Goal
- Write Goal From Category
- Write the Perfect Goal
- Scrap Bucket List
- Sims seem to be able to have up to 4 Bucket List goals at one time.
- Inheritance Lawyer can be found in a festival to make a will. You can do the following:
- Ask about Funerals
- Ask about Heirlooms
- Ask about Wills
- Start Will
- The trailer shows the following options on the will:
- Heirlooms...
- Sim Remains...
- Simoleons
- Leave Personal Note
- With this one, you can choose the emotion and input a message yourself. Some emotions include:
- Angry
- Bored
- Embarrassed
- Flirty
- Happy
- Inspired
- Playful
- Sad
- Tense
- With this one, you can choose the emotion and input a message yourself. Some emotions include:
- Gravestone appearance can be changed with "Display as..." interaction. You can choose to display it as a gravestone or as an urn and there are 7 new gravestone appearances shown in the trailer.
- When a sim dies, a special message pops up giving you three options: to Become a Playable Ghost (join household immediately after death), Become a Freeroaming Ghost (I guess what system we have now), or Rebirth.
- The text for those interested:
- Begin a new chapter of Life by becoming a Ghost! Exciting Ghostly Powers await in the Afterlife. Perhaps [Sim Name] has some Unfinished Business to attend to? You can also choose to relinquish control of [Sim Last Name?] and allow him/her/them to stick around se[sic] a Freeroaming Ghost.
Rebirth into a new life with faded memories of those you once knew. You will be taken to Manage Worlds to select a household to Rebirth your new Sim into. If you've earned the Burning Soul Trait, your soul will be able to manifest pieces of past personality traits along with certain others. If you choose to Rebirth as a younger Sim, you will have certain developmental skills immediately unlocked giving you a head start in your new journey.

- The text for those interested:
- Sim can Move On To The Great Beyond. I'm guessing it's a replacement to the Return to Netherworld interaction ghosts can do on their gravestone (leave the household and be deleted from the game).
- Soul's Journey can continue beyond the locked point after the sim becomes a ghost. The goals now become Unfinished Business.
- The ghost power tree has 24 different powers to unlock: 9 in Evil Branch, 9 in Good Branch, and 6 in Neutral Branch. Two powers also have levels like some Vampire powers have (one Neutral power has 2 levels while one Good power has 3 levels).
- Some powers showcased:
- Expert Maintenance (3 level Good power): repair broken objects more easily.
- Transcend Living Needs (2 level Neutral power): Lock certain needs, like Bladder, Hunger, and Hygiene (which has been renamed, see the next point).
- Levitator (1 level Evil power): Scare sims by levitating them and steal their money.
- Some powers showcased:
- Needs for ghosts have been renamed:
- Bladder -> Goo Waste
- Hunger -> Ethereal Sustenance
- Energy -> Otherworldly Slumber
- Fun -> Spooky Diversions
- Social -> Ethereal Bonding
- Hygiene -> Apparition Cleansing
- Once the Soul's Journey is complete, they'll acquire Burning Soul trait, which for ghosts means that their ghostly powers won't be burned out.
- When sims are about to be reborn, you'll get a confirmation dialogue.
- Again, the text for those interested:
- Is your soul ready to embrace the next chapter?
By choosing to Rebirth, you will set forth on a new journey as a new Sim, leaving your current life behind with no chance of return. You will be taken to Manage Worlds to select the household where your new life will unfold and will have the opportunity to fully customize your reborn self in Create a Sim. While funds, relationships, and achievements from this life will be lost, if you have already unlocked the coveted Burning Soul trait, you'll be able to retain one personality trait with the Recall Past Life self-interaction, along with certain others using the Peer Into Soul interaction available on mirrors. If you choose to Rebirth as a younger Sim, certain developmental skills will be immediately unlocked!
Now the threads of fate lie before you. The choice to weave a new destiny can be made when you are ready. Will you choose to Rebirth now?
- Is your soul ready to embrace the next chapter?
- Again, the text for those interested:
- New world is briefly shown.
- The Reaper career location can be accessed by anyone, just like the High School.
- 1 bar, 1 night club, 1 graveyard.
- 14 lots in total.
- When you choose your sim to be reborn:
- First you choose the household, you'll be asked if you like to rebirth in that household,
- Any age, traits, and personality can be chosen. Unclear about occult status though...
- Then your sim falls out of the sky. For infants, they gently float down. Older sims won't have that luxury however...
- You can Try for Baby with Grim Reaper now?
- This section could also be a reference to The Sims 2, where Olive Specter had a child with the Grim Reaper.
And that's it! Very interesting I have to say. I do have some questions, mainly what's the extra question mark in the CAS in the traits panel (top left on the aspiration) and can we choose Reborn sim's occult status?
- A new notebook to make a Bucket List (and which can be turned into a Heirloom). You can do the following:

And here's the gameplay trailer recap!
As you can see, you can jump from recap to recap with these!

Third week recap!
First we had the Gameplay trailer. The recap for that is here.
But what about info shared by SimGurus?
- Still some surprises left...
- There will be some fun cross-pack bucket list options.
- Grim Reaper in the new saves will get new genetic pre-set as he's a faceless entity. Grim Reapers in old saves won't be affected.
- This is as indeed, you can now finally Try for Baby with the Grim Reaper. Yay...
So then, the patch comes out on Tuesday (just 2 days left!). Plus the livestream date is still unknown, but it should happen the next week at this point (Note. This is purely a speculation and might not in fact turn out to be true).
With the patch, I'll be updating the traits list on Tuesday. Other updates that might be there will have to wait until Friday.
