It's not a lie by Mac or Origin. I watched the whole progress of the download - the download rate and the progress it was making, and it only took about 6 or 7 minutes. A game pack, by contrast, might take 45 mins to an hour to download on my internet. To me, the 20 GB figure is part of the process of preparing the whole Sims 4 package (which for me is just over 20 GB on my drive). Then the download begins as the next stage. Others have also reported yesterday's update as being just 2-300 MB, and while some may be Mac users, I doubt if they all are. There didn't seem to be that many changes included in the update so it didn't need to be a big one.

This is a 1.80 GB update. I don't really know about a 296 MB one.

I'm in the minority on this, I didn't like that they changed the controls but I am fine with using them now. In the future, I hope they do better research before making such radical changes though.
