Sims 4: Pay for DLCs, or postpone new DLCs for bug fixes? No happy middle.

More need not be said.

I am cautiously optimistic about the DLC packs getting big fixes (or better yet, refreshes). Since the Sims 4 is going Free to Play, there's now monetary incentive for EA to improve what they have instead of moving on to the next thing.

That's a good point actually. Can't assume to sell packs to new players jumping in with Free to Play if they aren't playable.
I literally have 80% of my settings turned off just to play and it's still buggy ? More packs you download the worse it gets, and it's not even an issue like with the Sims 3 (file sizes,) it's like incompatibility failures with different systems (within the packs I mean, gameplay features.) Like I'm 90% sure that the gardening bug (reverting to dirt pile) that was initially fixed after seasons is an issue again because of the added planters in Eco Lifestyle and the overgrown crops in Cottage Living.

I stopped playing for years around the time that Get Famous came out. I dove right in and just got pack after pack within a couple months after getting the new Xbox again and my game just got worse and worse and worse. Specifically around Cottage Living and then again with Eco Lifestyle, then Highschool and it's just blehhh.
  • As much as I like to see new content, I tend to feel that it's a bit of a waste of time if it's unplayable because of all the bugs that exist within the game. For me, an ideal would be for them to properly test new content before releasing it whilst a separate team works on fixing the other bugs within the game.
