I cannot believe what is happening right now.
There is a Huge Bonehilda Drama becuase Bonehilda is a Sim underneath the skeleton Body. People are complaining and attacking simmers who liked the pack how they are (Bad words) type of people for condemming The Studio for reusing a sim body where in reality almost all of special NPC in the franchise was coded from a base sim and they just change the body such as servo, skeleton, bigfoots, and many many more.
So why the heck they are attacking people about it? Grim Reaper is the same. for example and yet they do not complain. What is worst is when asked they said that they should make a new skeleton rig just for Bonehilda because it is a NPC and instead the Devs are lazy people.
Ok so NPCs are still sims, there's nothing spectacular about them. They will come with restrictions(Grim Reaper) and all that, but at the end of the day, they are just sims.
Now for my take on rigging up models:
LOL Rigging sucks. I used to do that back in 2013. It sucks even for the pros that got advanced 3D modeling programs. I can't blame them for taking short cuts. In fact, short cuts and doing things faster is the whole idea behind 3D modeling. It takes so much time that companies continue to add features to programs that help make the workflow faster. Heck, 3D modeling in general is very time consuming and annoying. Just how I feel, but blocking out the model is the funnest part, after that it's a slog with rigging and weight painting. If something is to go wrong, you wont even see that in the program, problems will manifest in the game, THEN you gotta go fix it. It's these things that can stack up the development time. Don't get me started with normal and UV mapping - UV mapping is what made me give it up. It's obvious why this game uses low poly textures. These people won't know what devs go through until they try to do the work themselves.
