I'm disappointed that there's no Invention Task Table.😔  I was so hoping one of my Sci-Fi Hybrid sims could invent the Time Machine & go Time Traveling.  That was one of my favorite things in Sims 3 Ambitions.  Oh well.😪

I'm disappointed about this not being like freetime in Sims 2 were sims had all kind of hobbies. We could have got some good gameplay objects.

I have been AWOL from these forums/TS4 for months now. Have not really been keeping up with this game at all lately as I’ve been playing other games/doing other things rather than gaming.  I recently was notified about the Sims Legacy Collection and decided to pop back in and check out all things TS4 after ‘skipping’ the last few expansions (I’m not sure if I’ll buy LS or L&D - maybe on 50% sale) and then I heard about this new pack and, safe to say, I’m absolutely horrified. I thought Life and Death was lacking!!! And that’s a pack with gameplay I’m actually interested in…

This is so unbelievably disappointing…

This may be an unfair comment (we'll see once we've learnt more about the pack), but I can't help feeling that it's lightweight. Yes, it's great now being able to run a business from your sim's home - but surely that's just an adaptation of the system that was already created in For Rent, so isn't actually new? Yes, we have tattooing (it's not my thing but it does look well done), we have pottery (that's good) and we have the ability to teach and mentor other sims (that's good too - although mentoring did already exist in the game). But the world looks like a combination of others - it doesn't seem to stand out as unique. And to get maximum enjoyment from this pack (maximum hobbies and business opportunities), it really helps if you buy lots of other packs - their examples of cross-pack compatibility actually function as mini-ads for other packs! I felt that Life & Death was a solid, strong pack - just reading the description of that made me feel there was a lot of content, and I haven't been disappointed. But this one feels like we're back to more lightweight EPs again. I'd be happy to be proved wrong...

I completely agree with you. With Lovestruck, I felt like the pack was more GP than EP, with this we're talking a SP or possibly two. There seems to be at least as much gameplay in Crystal Creations as this. 

I loved pottery in TS2. I would love to have pottery again, and I'm sure the devs did a great job with the skill.

But pottery is the only thing I find exciting in this pack. I played with owning a business back when we got Get to Work, and it was interesting for a while. I was able to have my Sims "live" on the same lot as their business if they bought an empty lot to use as their residence. A refresh of GTW with 2-function lots and a ticket counter would have been welcome. 

Like others, I'm worried about bugs. How will the business perks from this pack merge with the business perks in GTW? And how will Meet Ups differ from Get Together's clubs?

I will probably get this pack, but not right away. I might even have the discipline to wait for a sale.

Most of the items look really cool, but I feel like, we can already sell the things we make directly through our inventory. What makes this so great?

I do agree that a lot of items look good, but others are things we already have. Some tucked in polo-shirts and sweaters for men, which I approve of, a pair of pants that looks so 70s that I'm drooling, but then this: 

So you put a saxophone in the game - but display only????? When fans have been asking for more instruments since the dawn of time? Seriously?!? It's like the non-functioning phones, the magazines we cannot read and the gym weights that are just decor in Lovestruck. 

Stop giving us things that do not function, give us things with a function.
