It happens every other day now and it´s annoying >:) They stay at work/school for an hour or so and returns home. Their performance is really taking a hit and to get a promotion is nearly impossible.Their needs are just fine and the emotions as they should be. Is it a bug or something?

I've not seen this posted about before at all. Has it been only since the game update? If so, might be worth doing a Game Repair (with the Mods folder pulled out, if you use mods) and a full game folder reset:1. Move (not copy) Saves, Tray, Mods, Screenshots, and Custom Music folders and the Options.ini file to your desktop. Delete the Scratch subfolder from inside Saves. 2. Delete the rest of the The Sims 4 folder from your Documents > Electronic Arts folder. 3. Start the game, and exit the game. Now you have a fresh Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder. 4. Copy all the folders and the file back and start the game again.

Gee I had to send a sim home from work early on purpose otherwise their child was going to burn the house down with the chemistry set. LOL

That's strange, I've never seen that happen. Can you send them back using the school/work icon?

I just discovered that this is an option that you can choose on their portrait. Just to clarify, you did not accidentally select for them to come home early, right?

I never had this problem but since you tried repairing the game and it did not help I suggest you to do the following:

1- Go to Manage World
2- Select the household that is bugged and mark it as unplayable
3- Choose a different house and play it for short time (1 sim hour or so)
4- Return to your previous house and play normally

Hopefully it will correct itself. Give it a try

I had this problem just now! but restarted the game and it fixed itself, although I can't scroll anymore :(

Oh no! If this is repeatedly happening, it might be a bug you're encountering. That in mind, we would advise reviewing this thread: Sims 4 Help Center updates, and heading over to Answers HQ from there to find an existing conversation about the issue or making a thread about it.

That aside, this thread's a few years old so I am going to close it.
