Sims constantly dying in fires?

Is this just me or is anyone else experiencing this lately? I've been trying to start a new game save for the EA bug report section (there's a few bugs they've asked for saves on) & every time I have my Sim ends up dying in a fire within the first 1-2 Sim days of game play.

if your using the cursed lot trait it causes fires and if your using mods those cause bugs to

No cursed lot traits, mods have been removed for testing purposes.
