What does this new feature in the update means, after updating I tried to play offline after updating it said it needs to be reconnected to continue downloading content in the background?Is this the end of origin offline playing? Nobody told us about new things being downloaded in background for sims 4?

You can uncheck "automatically download" under the "game options > sims delivery" it looks like. Dunno if that makes a difference with playing offline, but worth a try probably.

One of the options for checking for SDX content is to check "On startup only." You might prefer that one.

Will it help if you set Origin to offline mode *before* launching the game? Anyway, if there is a lot to download with the recent patch, perhaps just wait a little then try again? Might also help to reboot your system.

Has anyone tested if it possible to play offline with the latest version? Most mods I use seem to work so this is the only thing I need to know before updating.

I agree. There is no reason to have the game constantly checking while playing. At start up or even manually checking seems enough.

I find the options for this feature little strange
like I very much doubt new content would show up every hour so why is that even option for how often game checks for it :sweat_smile:
