I will give my sims the "never weary" "never hungry" "steel bladder" "needs no one" "savant" traits and then have them practice their skills for however long it takes to master them. Painting and music and dancing especially - I love love love that part of the game, the arts part. I don't mind them mastering their skills quickly, but I do enjoy the process. ...So I guess I'm not any help lol, that was just an aside I guess.
