Sims' Life Hacks

Whats are your Sims 4 life hacks? What corner cutting ways do you have of making your sims life (or your gameplay) more efficent by creative use of objects, interactions, locations, aspirations and traits? It could be saving money, building careers or relationships, building lots, saving space etc.
No cheats, CC or MOO here.

Example: Once two Sims have had a couple of interactions, ask to cloudgaze is a great way building acquaintances to friendship relationships (speed 3 even more so) without having to click a string of interactions and without Sims continually walking away from each other.

    I always make sure my sims are able to listen to music while doing homework/painting/programming etc., which fills up their fun bar. :smiley:

    I'm not normally fond of hacks because I also value storytelling and a bit of realism in my gameplay. But the listening to music "hack" doesn't feel overpowered to me. ^_^

    Here's a quick one:
    Troll town squares etc for paintings. Both Windenburg and San Mushino (I can never rember how to spell that!) has easels standing around. Often a townie has left a painting... that you can simply sell.
    Easy way to earn a couple of 100 bucks in an early game.

    Here's one:
    If you have city living, when you start a new game, take advantage of the festivals. The spice festival gives free food and with the Parenting pack, you can take some home in sack lunches. You can also harvest dragon fruit and blackberries which you can plant, the dragon fruit and blackberries are worth a lot much later. Humor and hijinks festival - join the mischief side and have your sim perform mischief interactions. The prize for winning is a voodoo doll and some fireworks which sell for a good sum.
