Sims not rolling ANY wants since the new patch?

Ok, so thanks to some lovely people over at the Broken/Updated Mods & CC: SW:JB Sept.-Oct. 2020 (In the General Mods Discussion section there), particularly @EzeliaStarpuff (YAY!), I was FINALLY able to get my game going again, after having the mods and CC not resetting bug that the new patch came out with for some of us *Rolls eyes at that, and other things the patch BROKE for some people*.

Ok, so huzzah! But now I have a new problem. I've been playing my current family for about a half hour to an hour now. And I have the mom who's very inspired, the Dad who's confident, one of the twins is playful, and the other one is "fine". I get that the twin who's "only" fine, hasn't rolled any wants. But NONE of them have any wants? Not when I started to play the game, and not in the over half an hour that I've been playing them? I mean, sure the mom and dad have their aspiration wants (none of which I can satisfy at this time), but they have NO "regular" wants/whims? And neither of the twins are rolling ANY regular wants/whims, either?

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to fix THIS one? *Sighs*

Please!?!

(Interesting side note: My "Surprise" (yes that's her name too) twin, who will be the heir, started the game with the tablet she'd been playing with before the patch update, just....floating in the air in front of her. Her sister had the toy she'd been playing with before the patch update, in her hand like normal. Mom and Dad, normal. My little Surprise? The one who I wrote about the glimmer stone going missing glitch before? (Mom, Dad and both twins are Magic Users) Yup, there's the tablet she'd been playing a toddler game on, just floating in the air in front of her.........

..............The plot for little Surprise's "specialness", thickens! *Dramatic music here, LOL!*)

  • Mine did this I had to go into the settings turn Whims off then right back on. Hope this fixes it for you.
  • @jujee55 First of all, thank you so much for replying! Second of all, at the moment, I'm doing a "repair game" on my Sims 4 game (Which, with all the EP, GP and SP's that I have, makes for a long process!). BUT, as soon as that's done, if it doesn't solve the problem in and of itself, then I will definitely try that!

NM! Uhmmmm...Can you remind me how one does that? LOL! I honestly can't recall!
(Edited to add that I Googled that up, so you don't have to reply, sorry! *Chuckles at self*)

Thank you again, so very much!
  • I don't really pay much attention to their whims, but haven't had any issues... that I've noticed. I'll try resetting them as @jujee55 recommended. I just play. I mod more than I play anyways lmao
  • The Sims I've played since the latest update have all had whims, they all got new whims to replace the ones they completed or cancelled, and their mood-related whims have changed as their moods changed. In other words, I haven't seen any problems. However, I'm playing with no mods and no custom content, so it seems likely that one of your mods is responsible for the problem.
  • @Sketch793 thank you for the reply here! But in my case, I followed @jujee55 's advice with turning the whims back on in settings/options, and that solved the problem immediately. But again, thank you for the reply here and Happy Simming!
