I don't follow anybody on twitter other than the official TheSims account and Gurus that actually tweet game related things, so I don't pay any attention to what any simmers are trying to accomplish.
The thing that sticks out the most for me on twitter is the absolutely ridiculous amount of hatred, bashing and general whining the twitter community has for EA, The Sims, Gurus, and the Devs. There is never ever one single post by anybody associated with the production or development of the game that doesn't end up have a million nasty replies demanding this or that. It's extremely tiring.
There is this weird culture on twitter now where it's trendy to hate on EA and Maxis because they haven't added something that you are missing from the previous games...
And people also combine it with this "inclusiveness" that Maxis is using to promote the sims and their own personal feelings. For example people wanting to customize so the game doesn't say him or her and they combine it with other posts where they share their depression, anxiety and sexuality...
I find this tiring and I also think it's weird... It's just a game.
