Since update, Sims obsessed with cupcakes...and water!

Since the last update, Sims are constantly choosing cupcakes over other food (the cupcakes seem to be bottomless), but every time they sit down to eat them, they must get up and get a glass of water.

Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I can 50/50 but I'm doing this every single time there's an update, which seems to be one after another...and just thought I'd first ask if this is a common problem before I go through that yet again. This isn't as simple as a broken crib or broken bookcase, which at least give clues where to look.
  • They do have a hydration need, but it's hidden. We only notice it when they start wanting to get water. Just allow them to get water once or twice and they won't need to again for a long time (unless it's a heatwave in summer).
The coffee and tea makers are weirdly attractive to sims, that is true!
I haven't noticed anything about cupcakes, but I have noticed that when there is leftover cake in the fridge, a hungry sim will prefer to grab that than other healthy leftovers :)
The last update broke a lot of things related to food mods, so if this is bothering you, you might start by removing all food related mods and see what happens.

    Hey all,

Please utilize Answers HQ for bugs and technical issues. You can post this specific issue here.
  • Didn't have too much of a problem with cupcakes, but the water, coffee, and tea addiction has been a thing for a while. Unless I need a quick emotion moodlet, I make sure to never keep a coffee or tea maker out because Sims will always queue up several interactions to pour themselves a drink, even if they're already drinking one! I sure hope I don't have to hide all the sinks as well!

Although, to be fair, I don't think very many players actually hydrate their Sims since there's no need for it. Maybe they're desperately trying to call for help?
