I'm having a similar problem with Sims calling several times a day wanting to come and hang out or just showing up at all hours. Usually, these are random Sims that my Sim "met" while ordering a drink which means they didn't actually speak to each other they just happened to order a drink at the same time. The bartender is always part of this "conversation" and gets added to the list of potential acquaintances that starts pestering the next day with phone calls or visits. I also have at least three, sometimes four, random strangers knocking on the door.
