Since when did female sims getting abducted get pregnant?

I'm watching a NSB Challenge and the character got abducted and impregnated by aliens. I thought only the males did that. Which I thought was pretty lame, when I played with aliens. But I ended up jus...

Aliens have been showing up more often for me. It never happened in my game but now it's happened twice in the last week or so and one was male the other female
