Size of baby bumps and having multiples at the hospital

I've had twins quite often in my game, but never when my sim gives birth at the hospital. The last time a sim gave birth in my game, I was sure it was going to be more than one, because her baby bump was so much larger than the last time she was pregnant. But she only had one, and it got me wondering - would it had been more than one if I had her give birth at home instead? Is it normal that the size of the stomach is different from pregnancy to pregnancy on the same sim?

Please let me know if you have any reliable info about different sizes of baby bumps on the same sim, does it not always indicate that they are having multiples when it's larger than normal?

And please share it you've had sims give birth to twins or triplets at the hospital, because I can't find any evidence that it's possible.

Every pregnancy is different! That's a reality in RL, same person and all. I carried one of my three children practically up in my rib cage! The other two, the first and the last, felt like I carried them in my hips. So, since this iteration has done a much better job on pregnancies, they got this correct. Also, my own daughter is carrying twins at the moment. I thought she was telling me much later in her pregnancy, than she is. Yeah, she's got quite the tummy going already at not quite seven weeks, when she gave me the news. That was nearly two weeks ago. She's also suffering from morning sickness much sooner and harsher. The woman should know, she's had five daughters, so far. Needless to say, we're hoping for at least one boy out of the two.

As to your question, I thought I had it all figured out, game-wise. My Sim seemed to have a larger tummy and I thought, ah-ha! twins! I was wrong. She just was bigger this time. Must be too many little cakes! So, no there's no real indicator that I have found. I'm dying to know if others have found something. I'm all eyes. :)

    Aww, congratulations!!
