Sleepovers make sims immediately sleepy?

I dont understand why once you invite someone to a sleepover they get sleepy immediately and go to bed, like I invited my bf to hang out and spend the night together what the point if he goes to sleep immediately..
It seems once you invite someone to sleep over the game immediately reduce their energy bar, it's so annoying I hate I have to cheat everytime I invite him over to full his needs..

I looked for mods for this I never found something that stops this..what can I do?

  • I've had that happen many times on me. What I like to do is go ahead and let them sleep, but then I lock all the outside doors and keep them hostage for part of the next day. Thay way my sim can socialize with them like they were supposed to do the night before.
  • I've noticed that as well. Somebody at Maxis seems to think the point of sleepover is sleeping. (Spoiler: It's actually not) Probably a reason why we don't have pillow fights in 4.
  • Yes, it is the same in my game. I always use the cheat to bring up all their needs as soon as my sim invites them to stay the night.
  • It isn’t much of an issue in my game. Usually they’ll try to go to sleep around 8 or 9. I’ll just wake them up if I want my Sims to socialize with them, and they’re almost always fine.
I actually prefer it this way, because I remember how it used to be in my game; I’d invite a Sim over for the night and they would stay up until the sun was rising. Sometimes they wouldn’t even sleep at all.

This is what I remember too. Did this change on a recent update? Because I remember that NONE of the sims I invited would actually sleep and they would leave around 6am, they wouldn't even stay for breakfast.
  • i do not see anything wrong in sims sleeping since most of the time i decline invites from other sims in game it never happen if sims would be at a sleep over i would let them sleep not spend all night up but thats me
