I thought they'd done some fixes, with BG items first then everything sorted by pack from newest to oldest. And you can filter by pack -- but I usually can't remember what pack had what outfits except for a few (there are some nice full body outfits for male Sims from GT, for example). I've been using the Randomizer more when clothing Sims in CAS, with some interesting results; sometimes I'll get nice pants and just have to look for a good shirt, or (more often) vice versa (most of the pants are way too short for my tastes).
