I actually have never played with plant sims in any of the game's iterations since they never really appealed to me. Are they any different from ts2 and ts3 plantsims tho?

Yeah quite a bit, especially from TS3.

Yes. They are arguably a joke. They are just green sims that need water. Ironically i was just talking about this with some friends.

I loved plantsims back in the sims 2 days. They were a proper lifestate. They were instantly maxed at gardening, could talk to plants and even reproduce with spores which resulted in a plantsim toddler. in sims 4 plantsim is just a temporary condition with little to no consequence in gameplay. Not to mention you need a cheat to turn your sim into a plantsim.

I wish the plantsims would be updated. Strangerville with all the weird plantstuff would have been the perfect scenario to update them.

The cheat is technically no longer needed. The emotion beans are found in the rare seed packets, which your Sim can get if they have level 10 gardening. The tree stump is available in build mode. So you can get forbidden fruit without cheating.

Other than that, yeah... the PlantSims from older games sound way cooler. :(

I have the same issues with plantsims. They need another update and fleshed out, it's one of the areas sims 4 head over heels loses

Nymphs are cool, they should transform plant sims into them.
I do wish they had some sort of Magical powers over nature.
Like they can make a Plant, herbs, vegetables, and Fruit Bloom, Mature, Evolve, and Wither, at will.

The only thing, I don't like is that Plant sims have only one hair style.

I just tried that one and somethings work, like sprouting flowers around your feet that goes away, but looks cool. Other than that there really wasn't much to it either. Other things just didn't work at all, but I think the modder is working on it so who knows, maybe the next step is adding more features.

It's all them abilities I'm after, and special interactions and all that. Things that make them unique rather than just a recolour with some changed needs for how to feed. :/

I just started a legacy with a Sim with PlantSim ancestory (she's basically just green with green hair since I don't want to cheat and give her free access to the plantsim fruit just yet), but now I'm almost tempted to try that mod...
