- LiELF5 years agoLegendIt's been Game Packs, hands down for me since Vampires came out. That's still my #1 favorite. I also love Realm of Magic, Jungle Adventure, Journey to Batuu and StrangerVille. Most of these I would rate above most EPs because they have a really tight, consistent theme that is done in great detail and brings good gameplay. I wish EPs were done that well. But I think they're getting better.

Every pack type has been enjoyable for me for various reasons. More stuff, or new gameplay, or quests, or occult fun, or family fun, or new worlds, or base game improvements.... etc etc.
I like it all. And I use it all. - Expansions cause they come with more content. Gamepacks have been story driven as late.
- handelgamer5 years agoSeasoned AceOooh, I think I gotta give it personally to Expansion packs. Mostly I play from a randomized rotation of family to family and those add the most premades and the more interesting enviroments to be in. (Though I still really like Vampires and Strangerville)
- atreya335 years agoLegendIt's a tie between GP and EP. When I first got sims 4 I was completely focused on EP because that was the format of DLC I was used to but now I think GP are equally good in terms of quality and interesting themes.
The packs I like most, the ones I can't play without anymore are a mixture of EP and GP. My favourites are realm of magic, seasons, get together, jungle adventure, strangerville and get to work. So a little bit of both categories.
EPs have the advantage of a broad contant that is more like to add to everyday gameplay. (perhaps with the exception of island living and snowy escape perhaps) The strong point of GPs is the narrow focus on one theme which allows enough depth for said theme to matter.
SP are fun too but not essential. The only exception is laundry day because it adds a gameplay system to be seen in my sims everyday life. - Sharooonia5 years agoSeasoned AceExpansion packs for me. Seasons, Island Living, City Living and Snowy Escape are my favourites.
- simsimsere5 years agoSeasoned AceI have enjoyed EPs and GPs the most. Depends on the pack we're talking about, for example I enjoy Vampires and Dine out more than University which is my leats favourite EP. Generally EPs offer more though. I enjoy stuff packs as well but not on the same scale because of the size.
- I have to say expansions.
There are GPs that adds really nice additions to my game and I like having them but they have never added something that I absolutely love and it a must to my gameplay or add something that I enjoy using over and over.
Expansions though yes. Seasons adds just so much to enhance my gameplay. Get Famous is another. Though I don't use fame for all my sims or have all my sims go into acting or use the media stations I enjoy all of them so much and love making sims who are actors or content creators. Another is Get to Work, the active careers are nice but mostly I love running my own stores. - I enjoy a little bit of everything, so it is really hard to choose. Everything together adds a lot to my gameplay, I wish the EP had more of the gameplay elements, but I love all of the types and I am generally postive for every new content for the game.
- Game packs 100%. They're way more fun in my opinion, expansions may be bigger but the themes are generally much less interesting.
GPs are probably my favourite thing to happen to the game, for occults for example they work way better, an ep is too big for one occult, but too small for all of them but game packs are just the right size. GPs allow them to put more fun and interesting themes in aside from the generic EPs which we get the same in every game.
