The Snowy Escape starter houses are pretty expensive. The house in Wakaba costs 19,682 and the house in Senbamachi costs 19,943. That means that out of 20,000 starting funds, you'll only have 318 in cash after moving into the house in Wakaba (2-4-3 Wakabamori) and only 57 in cash after moving into the one in Senbamachi (6-4-1 Hanamagawa). That's not a glitch.
