I have heard others complaining about this glitch. If the sim starts off with only 2,000 when you start, that is a glitch and not your fault. You should move them into an empty light (I use a little one in Brindleton Bay) and use the money cheat (it's just Money 20000) to give them 20,000 simoleons then move them into a starter house they can afford. If you have a couple, start them off at 25,000.
