So Frustrated with Situational Outfits!

If you have MCCC I think there is a way to fix this in the Dresser module.

They keep adding situational outfits (there's one more in Get Famous) and I keep having to mod it out and why ?? Does anyone like it ? Is there really someone, somewhere, thinking "man I do love when sims have ugly secret outfits I can't edit, it's all I ever wanted"

I hate them. They're one of the few things in game that bothered me so much that I had to download mods to fix them and I'm not really that into using mods. I dress my sims the way I want them for a reason. I don't want to see them dressed in random ugly outfits the game chooses.

I hate the situation outfits as well. And since WHEN is walking around in the neighbourhood (usually NOT their own 'hood even) considered a "situation"? And who walks around like that anyway? Not in any neighbourhood I've lived in. It's pointless. And probably because EAxis wants YOUR sim to run out of their house to say hello and become friends! The constant friend-pushing is driving me bonkers too. Need to interview a sim for your work-from-home assignment? You need to know them first!

Anyway! I use MCCC to change their outfit to what they normally would wear, but they turn around and a minute later they wear ugly again. With EVERY accessory slot filled. With accessories I'd never use, on any sim, ever. Its a bit better after I used it to change City walkby outfit to "everyday", same with other "situation" categories, like some festivals. I'm fine with GeekCon having costumes, although not so much when npc's are still wearing them several day after....

Situational outfits are one of my least favorite things about this game. I wish they weren't a thing.

Mc command fixes it I believe. It’s like the bug where sims would wear silly outfits to the spa and the festivals, sim Guru Nick told me it would be fixed in a patch which it was but it broke the following patch.

The only situational outfits that even function like they're suppose to is the sims in granite falls appearing in camping clothing and the sims in Salvadorada. No idea how sims want to randomly be a fashion disaster for no reason, especially in GF as well with celebrities. I use a mod to keep sims from using any glases, hats and accessories as well as disabling some situational outfits.

I'm with you OP!!! I really don't understand why EA think it's cool that my shy violinist walks Del Sol Valley wearing a gnome costume, just because he is famous? I also hate seeing my poor sims wearing fancy stuff, when I spent quite some time in CAS giving them the right outfits. Or - the top notch very conservative wealthy woman running about town wearing silly festival attire that she would actually just *sigh* over if seeing others wearing such silly stuff.

EA, I think you don't understand that many of us actually give our sims stories, or tells dedicated stories. We don't need the game to hand out randomness that developers find amusing...

They have got to go. We have CAS for a reason-because we want our sims to look the way WE want them to look.

we should start a petition or something for them to take that out of the game or to make an option setting to turning it off (at least for played households)....I really, really hate those outfits with a passion and there is no point to them!
