Ugh! I's so frustrating to have a historical save and have everything going great then seeing some peasants walking around in crop tops, EVERY ACCESSORY, glasses and knee high socks. This is 14th century France! Let my sims wear the clothes I put them in, game! Why is this even a feature? What purpose does this serve? In a game that's supposed to be about player choice it sure feels like I don't have any.

If you have MCCC I think there is a way to fix this in the Dresser module.

They keep adding situational outfits (there's one more in Get Famous) and I keep having to mod it out and why ?? Does anyone like it ? Is there really someone, somewhere, thinking "man I do love when sims have ugly secret outfits I can't edit, it's all I ever wanted"

I hate them. They're one of the few things in game that bothered me so much that I had to download mods to fix them and I'm not really that into using mods. I dress my sims the way I want them for a reason. I don't want to see them dressed in random ugly outfits the game chooses.

I'm fine with GeekCon having costumes, although not so much when npc's are still wearing them several day after....

Situational outfits are one of my least favorite things about this game. I wish they weren't a thing.

I'm with you OP!!! I really don't understand why EA think it's cool that my shy violinist walks Del Sol Valley wearing a gnome costume, just because he is famous? I also hate seeing my poor sims wearing fancy stuff, when I spent quite some time in CAS giving them the right outfits. Or - the top notch very conservative wealthy woman running about town wearing silly festival attire that she would actually just *sigh* over if seeing others wearing such silly stuff.

EA, I think you don't understand that many of us actually give our sims stories, or tells dedicated stories. We don't need the game to hand out randomness that developers find amusing...

They have got to go. We have CAS for a reason-because we want our sims to look the way WE want them to look.

we should start a petition or something for them to take that out of the game or to make an option setting to turning it off (at least for played households)....I really, really hate those outfits with a passion and there is no point to them!

I loathe situational outfits. Here are 2 of them that are apparently for Love Day. I'm sorry, but how is this in any way related to love? I'd run away screaming.

Yeah I really don't like situational outfits at all. Very annoying when you are spending a lot of time giving all your sims nice outfits only to have them wear outfits that make no sense.

I recently posted multiple saves to simGuru Nick over at answer hq showing how broken the situational outfits are now. Hopefully they will find out what's wrong with them. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/SAVES-NEEDED-Weird-situational-outfits-on-NPCs-Mainly-Hats/td-p/6904580/page/5 I don't really understand why they keep asking for saves, this is not difficult to replicate. Maybe they are looking for something specific.

I would have preferred an option to just disable them. They serve very little purpose. What's wrong with just wearing everyday clothing?
