This is what disappoints me the most. I was expecting something game expanding, some everyday life gameplay, some of the things they teasered last year. I'd even prefer this to be the werewolve or fairies pack the occult fans desired.
But THIS? A career we basically already have (come on, you can make-believe this career already, just visit houses of other Sims, type in bb.enablebuildmode or whatever the cheat is, renovate their home and give your Sim money via a cheat. Then talk a bit to the owner, done.)
Seriously. What are they doing at EA?!
Okay, there's preferences as a new system. But if they only come with this pack and aren't patched in, that means they won't be build on in future packs just as lifestyles will be a forever standalone with Snowy Escape. And besides, there are already personality mods around that give your Sims preferences. I don't think your Sim will hate their room when you don't use their favourite color besides perhaps getting a "bad surroundings" buff which will be overly annoying because the "good surrounding" one will overpower even sadness from when their Mom died.
Are preferences not "game expanding"?
They're not worth 20$. And we will yet have to see if they do anything except affect the new career.
I didn't ask if they were worth 20$. No one feature of a pack is worth 20$. I asked if preferences, in your opinion, are game expanding.
Preferences will probably be part of the base game update- Aaand the trailers are staying cringy. I think I threw up a little in my mouth when the woman said "b-t-dubs"

It depends on how they are executed and what they affect (and in which way). Knowing TS4, I don't have much hope.
I hope they're a base game update.- Kita53994 years agoSeasoned Ace

That’s why I always turn my sound off now, I can gather any info elsewhere. - amapola764 years agoSeasoned Ace

For me it was when she pronounced decor "DEEE-core." - For me it's her voice.

Can EA release voice muted trailers like before? I loved for example Cats & Dogs or Snowy Escape trailers, with the music and the simsilsh dialogues in background. "Mak27;c-17885464" wrote:

If anything these types of trailers just show how out of touch EA truly is. It reads like a cheesy Disney channel commercial. Makes sense why the game is so sanitized and lame if their target demographic is preteens. (And the name, Dream Home Decorator?? Sounds like a free-to-play Barbie game to me.)- Mk_27904 years agoNew Spectator

Target for pre-teens... no pre-teens in game - Livestream is next tuesday right?
