So only 2 new gameplay objects?

Wouldn't sledding, skiing, and snowboarding be considered new? I don't think we have anything like that already in the game.

There's also the hot pot (which reportedly can go on counters as well as dining tables). I'd say that the activities such as sledding, skiing, snowboarding and rock climbing count as new gameplay even if there's no specific objects associated with them (meaning you have to travel to the new world but you can just do a day trip from anywhere). And kids can ski, snowboard and sled -- will likely be a fun way to build Motor skill that doesn't involve video games. :| Not sure about the rock climbing or mountain excursion; since the daughter didn't show up in the panel for choosing the climbing team I assume that's a no (plus they can't use the Fitness Stuff rock climbing treadmill and the Guru's have confirmed that item will build Rock Climbing Skill). Children will also have their own special festival, Festival of Youth, with activities geared to them. And I'm thrilled that they're finally getting a reskinned science table; that new one will look a lot better in the kids' rooms at the libraries.

Skiing, sledding and snow boarding are the main gameplay objects in the game. Not the vending machine or hot pot table (can’t think of the name sorry). Those are just added bonuses. Rock climbing was introduced before but now there’s more of a risk included with it which is nice.

But the rock climbing is a skill it’s not like the rock climbing wall in fitness stuff that is based on your fitness skill. The rock climbing isn’t tied to the fitness skill it’s own skill. So it really not recycling the rock climbing wall.

I've noticed a bunch of new rock climbing animations, so they at least created some new animations on top of the recycled ones.

The mention of not many game play objects is interesting. I think I can accept the small number of new game play objects since this is the first pack where they added THREE full level skills in the game (all tied to the new world of course but still, considering we normally only get one full level skill in a pack this is a nice thing to have.)

Instead of tying game play to objects like snowboarding skiing and sledding the game play is built into the world which I prefer and yeah we have a rock wall object that shoots out flames the mountain wall climbing does have some new animations with it adding a new way to play instead of just a reskin.

I only wish they could go back and update older worlds I always felt like Oasis Springs should have rock climbing

I don't consider it recycled, either, since there are new animations. But they did confirm that the Fitness Stuff wall will build rock climbing skill. I don't know if it's now tied to both skills or just one.

I think the climber will now just build Rock Climbing instead of fitness.
