Yeah the fact that it's through Origin even when you purchase it from Steam means there is absolutely no incentive for current owners to buy it. I had considered it before I found out it would still run through Origin. And to be honest even though I own most of Sims 4 already, if they ever did change Steam purchases to bypass Origin, I would consider it again - at huge discount prices only of course. Other games on Steam use launchers but they are still run through Steam. I don't own another Steam game that requires an entirely different game library application to run it and I never will.
