With Seasons coming, where the hot and cold outfit categories will have some gameplay effect, what do you do for everyday wear? (I haven't watched the livestream so idk if this has been answered but) wouldn't sims pretty much never be in those everyday outfits as the weather will either be hot or cold? I'm just struggling to figure out what kind of clothing to give them for everyday wear. Is it just going to be clothes that they wear around in the house?Edit:I decided to update this with what I have been doing for the outfits. I change their everyday outfits to suit the new season they are in (which is a bit time consuming ngl but I haven't got too frustrated doing it yet). I also give them a second everyday outfit, like a rain jacket for thunderstorms since rain doesn't start in any particular temperature. Then for hot weather I just do a t-shirt with shorts and a hat or sunscreen. And for cold weather I just have a big coat/jacket for the snow, with snow boots. Also, I had to change the season's cycle to every 14 days because I was going into CAS too often :D but that has helped a lot, and the holidays now feel more natural and spread out, with sims not having three days off a week because a new holiday is popping up. So I recommend doing that if you've had the same problems.

I believe that sims will wear everyday outfits most of the time. I'm tweaking mine a little though, because I don't want my sims look too summery during spring and fall.

I’ll probably do spring/autumn type stuff for my Sims everyday wear since the hot/cold weather will cover the rest (probably)

Also, if you want your Sims to be really affected by temperature you would send them out in everyday wear as the hot and cold category clothing completely insulates them from temperature effects no matter what clothing you add to those categories. So for example if you add a swimsuit as a cold weather outfit then your sim can wear a bikini in a blizzard and not feel the cold at all. But if you add that same swimsuit to the swim category and send them out in the blizzard now they are at risk of freezing to death if you don't warm them up. You can wear a parka in a heatwave if it's in the hot category and go about your day just fine, but if you have it classed under everyday then that same parka in the heat becomes a potential death trap unless you change or seek air conditioning in a building with the new thermostat set to cool.

The hot and Cold clothing option is for the extreme weathers, so like blizzards and Heatwaves. If it's just nice and bright skies or just a bit of rain your sims isn't automatically going for those options I believe

Well not exactly true; from what I seen in the livestream Sims will switch to Cold Weather attire when outside in Winter, but I'm not particularly sure if they do the same with Hot Weather attire in Summer.

Since those are only extreme weather categories I’ll probably use them as sort of an outerwear and have them go with the sims other outfits.

Like for the hot ones it’ll will be my sims swimsuit, but with shorts or a skirt added, so it would be like going to the beach.

And the for the winter ones, I’ll take a everyday outfit they already have for winter but add a hat, gloves and coat, and then do the same for one party look, and one formal look (with a fancier jacket)

This will mean I’ll be changing all outfits each season which will get time consuming but I think it’ll be worth it. I just really wish we could somehow save our outfits in cas once we put them togethar.

You can multiple outfits for each category by clicking the arrow above its symbol
