The idea of the new pack taking place in Paris just connected some dots for me...
I instantly thought of the movie to Catch a Thief, which is a romantic thriller taking place in France... and its main character is a CAT BURGLAR.
There's a lot of cats (and no dogs) in the picture/puzzle... I'm now convinced the new pack features cat burglars, with jewel heists and similar things. If I'm remembering correctly, similar gameplay options were suggested in EA's surveys so it's something they have been considering.
Could be a cool theme, especially if it does take place in Paris and they throw in some romantic themes as well.
This would certainly tick the box of 'major first for the Sims' and would be very original. That survey was in april, though. Wouldn't the timeframe be a bit too short for the usual development process of a Game Pack? I'm hoping that we're getting a full-blown Romance pack, but I'm worried that it wouldn't exactly be a 'major first' - it would literally be a rehash of the Sims 1 Hot Date. So if the Paris rumors are true, there has to be something more to the theme than only romance to fit their description of the pack.
