I like the way it is. The player can find some ways to make great money and go for it .. like I do painting, writing, gardening or fishing. Or they can have a more realistic grind to the top story line .. players choice.
With the faster money makers in game the player can even chose to play realistically. For example they just paint once a week stopping or scrapping works of art because they just aren't good enough. They could have a few good plants. They could write at night or on the weekends after work.. finally having a best seller. The dream come true.
I do wish they would have made some jobs make more money from the beginning, but I think at this point it might upset a lot of players that like it to come in more slowly and realistically. There are people that enjoy the grind to the top as a challenge. I personally don't get it, but it's there and many people do play that way. Once again .. players choice.
Perhaps the jobs in the future will add more variety also, of course that takes some patience to wait out. I know I'm ready for more right now :)
