Sooo Why cant unplayed sims make their own decisions (Marry,Children and Dating)

Im having this problem, So in my game I have 2 or 3 familys that I play but all the other familys are dying out... Is this just my game, can anybody tell me if maybe its my settings? I just want the s...

No it's not just your game. The Sims you don't control no longer grow and expand their families on their own. As far as I can tell all they do is age on their own. It's a bit of a bummer, but I've always loved the Sims 2 style where no Sim does anything drastic without that house being active.
